The Decca Audition, January 1. 1962. The EQ'd Definitive Edition.
This is the best source of this material that I have ever heard. Excellent transfer by Masterdisc, good job speed correcting by Remasters Workshop, but the equalization was not to my liking (not even close to the warmth of the Deccagone LP and singles, and even more shrill than the Anthology versions)
So, this has been re-eq'd and the edit pieces that RMW inserted have been replaced by a source much closer in sound to the Masterdisc version. The problem with RMW's replacement was that it used the Vigotone release of this material, which had been de-noised. This caused an extreme drop in high-frequency content which couldn't be eq'd out. It's now fixed with a diferent source.
The ending of September In the Rain also had an extremely annoying edit that has been corrected in this version.

This is a restoration of the second From Us To You special from February 1964. Luckily, much of this was preserved in master quality when BBC Transcription Services siphoned off extracts onto vinyl disc for shipping to overseas customers. Other segments survive as off-air recordings.
In more detail:
- Opening Theme/You Can't Do That: from the Yellow Dog box set. A middling off-air recording but with EQ and hiss reduction it sounds quite reasonable.
- Roll Over Beethoven: from the Westwood One series 'The BBC Beatles Tapes: The Original Masters'. This was a modified version of 1988's 'The Beeb's Lost Beatles Tapes'. This is from the Westwood One cds.
- Till There Was You: from the Westwood One cds.
- I Wanna Be Your Man: from the Westwood One cds.
- intro: from the YD set.
- Please Mr postman: from the late-70s vinyl lp 'Rough Notes', with declicking, speed correction, EQ and level adjustments. An off-air recording?
- outro: from the YD set.
- All My Loving: from the Westwood One cds.
- intro: an edit of the YD set and the 1982 'Beatles At The Beeb'.
- This Boy: from the 1981 vinyl lp 'Air Time/Silver Days' with pitch correction and EQ. An off-air recording?
- intro: from the YD set.
- Can't Buy Me Love: from the Westwood One cds.
- outro: from the YD set.
- From Us To You: from the late-70s vinyl lp 'Rough Notes', with declicking, speed correction, EQ and level adjustments. The opening few bars were missing, so I tagged them on via the 1982 'Beatles At The Beeb' special.
